good start of the year

the year 2012 we have started quite well:)
we managed to pocket on usdchf +2.5% and we have 'good-looking':) short on gbpusd as well (also +2.25% earned so far)

i have recieved some emails with questions about our group. just in a few words i can say: we trade using cannareks method which is based on technical analysis + volume and supply/demand analysis. everybody is welcomed. i do not want to cut the number of people. i plan to run the group for free in the future - as soon as we manage to create a community around the method.

as you can see last days the market is quite narrow and with low volume.
it is usual sitation that day trading during last days/weeks of the year is not easy.
in spite of that fact i am with profits and i am really glad of it.

from the other hand it is also not rare that during these last days of the year we can find great mid/long term opportunities:)

a few words

quick update becasue not much time last 2 days.
today i had a small loss (-0.75%) and the day before yesterday small profit +1.5%

as you can see last days are quite strage inmy opinion. usualy last days of the year are not the best moment for trading, day trading specially. from the other side sometimes it is the best moment to find mid/long term point of view and get golden trade:)

nzdusd pending orders

this time i am going to show you cannarek's method with pending orders.
usually i use pending orders only together with significent supply/demand area. below you can see the chart with higlighted 2 areas:
1. first one (the upper one) is supply area, which in my opinion is quite probable to give many pips because the price starting from 7850 has formed lower high (7760) and lower low (7610) - other words sellers are strong here

2. second area is demand area. you can see how the price went up when last time at 7600 - there are buyers definately.

the best scenario is:
1. buy 7600 area and TP at 7725
2. then sell at 7725 and continue move down started on 08.12.2011

sometimes forex seems to be so easy. we had Pending Order from 2011.12.06 at 1.5543 (stop at 1.5520) , it was 1/2 position trade

as you can see the pound kicked off as a rocket, exactly at 1.5543 area:) great +100 pips, over +6.5 %

this one is just perfect and beautiful. as you can see in the beginning it was not as easy becasue after 1st sell pattern i had a loss. but the second one was strong way down as expected. this trade was closed with +2.25% profits

today as promised: yesterday's trades.
first is eurchf, it was in my opinion quite easy one and very quick:) the move up when pending order sell was activated was sharp. then go down as expected. the trade was closed with +3.5% of profit

this trade was of course recognized live in trading room.

today we managed to recover all losses and gt profits again:)
it was well done great trading. thanks for emails.

as always cannarek is correct: every method has losses, every method has losses in a row - if you trade wise - continue trading and profits will come.

again not easy day i must say. the overal result was -3.5%
as always - pay close attention to postion size managing. because almost every trade was one of these with hogher risk i was trading with 1/2 or even 1/4 of full position.
today is better:)

and next example from last friday. here is Pending Order example. you can see the area where sellers started the strong move down (strong supply) and the first come back to this area usually give some pips. this time i managed to get about 20 pips (+0.75%) and i must say that it was also quite good mid term opportunity. lets see if this area of sellers survive then we should see the price again at 9100-9130

and the next example of firday's trading. again i recognized 2 sell patterns. one of them was Pending Order type, the second one - usual market trade. as you can see - pending order was not executed. the second pattern gave me +58 pips but because we were trading in very uncertain market conditions (remember the news about american unemployment) - i was trading only 1/4 of position - thats why +58 pips were only +0.75%

these trades were of course also recognized live in our trading room.

ps. today we had very similiar situation and i also had PO (exactly sell at 1.0213) - and again it was not executed. the order is already canceled.

yes, this is a huge step for me. i decided to start trading for living.
to be honest it is not the only activity i am going to make money. but the second one is strictly connected becasue it is forex option transactions. my mentor, which you probably know as cannarek - encourages me to start 'doing all these fx things seriously'. so, i decided to go with him and trust him. his company Virtus Corporation gave me this opportunity.

for all of you, my followers and readers, there is nothing new. this is just a huge change for me (my wife is not very enthusastic;)

well, lets see tomorrow in live trading room as everyday. tomorrow i will also post patterns from friday because i have recieved some emails with questions about that day and how i managed to recover when the market was so nervous.

i have recieved some emails with querstions about the thread i have started.

yes, i am trying to tell other traders about cannareks method of trading. i strongly believe this method is very good and with reasonable attitude should give money.

sometimes this method also generates losses (as cannarek says: sometimes even losses in a row, but this happens to every method of trading). all we had to do is to trade according to the rules even if the end of the day is with a loss. this is the hardest issue in fact as trading is concerne - to be strong and sure enough of what we are doing even if we suffer some losses.

yes, even cannareks trading method 'gives' traders some days closed with a loss. as cannarek says: 'it is not important whether you win or loose, what matters is if you trade good/properly - if the answer is yes - you will have profits in the end, this is what it is all about'

here you can see one of todays trades example. in fact there 2 patterns which i managed to recognize. the first one was better but i wasnt able to get into it (too early, my mistake). the second one i was in (recognized live in our trading room) but with 1/2 position because of the fact that we were not at the top of the move down.
and this is why it gave 'only' +4.5% - if you feel ok with higher risk this trade would defiantely give you more:)

below i show you entries on eurcad, where i recognized sell patterns. as you can see i did manage to profit +7.5% on this trade (it was closed in 2 steps - see several posts earlier for details about 1st 1/2 close).

here is one of todays example. it was not easy in my opinion. in general today was a tough day for day trading i think.

i took short 2 hours earlier (great sell pattern) but it was closed at be.

as the last one i show you the easiest one and the one wiht the biggest profits today as well. i think that was quite simple to find (not easy;) even if you do not trade using cannarek's method because only price action itself was really significent.

ps. i must add that i use the more secure money management - thats why i almost always put stop loss above last most important high (sl=0.87 at this case) - if you prefer more risky business you should take the last high as the stop (sl at 0.855)- this way this trade would give you about +12%

i wanted also to show you that cannarek's method is not a holly grail and sometimes it is wrong and you can also loose money. good news is that usually the losses are small.

here you can find great sell pattern. we had reached crucial level, we had proper price action and volume. the only bad news was that we were only a couple of pips above the previous area where the price struggled to go through (that is 1.04).

the sell pattern was recognized and taken as 1/2 position (live in trading room). in fact that was the second sell that day;)
as you can see sellers didnt manage to win and after strong candle up (16:00-16:30 GMT+2) - i had to close sell with a loss -0.75%

this one was quite good and in fact it is still valid. but it was described as 'risky' - and was recognized live in trading room as 1/2 position trade.

exit was at 1.3004 - which is +0.5% - see details in our trading room archive.

this is an example of todays trade. as you can see there were even 2 sell patterns during european session and 1 earlier during asian.
i decided to close 1/2 and left the rest because i think we could face head and shoulders formation which usually means at least 61.8% fibo target.

and the last one of todays pattern which i recognized. this one was easy to see but much harder to trade/manage while open. i must say i was hoping for much bigger move down but after a while and after watching price action+volume and after watchiung eurchf at the same time - i decided to close it after bouncing at crucial level of 9150

there was great opportunity on gbpusd. of course cannarek took pips and i landed with hedged position:( again - not enough patience. i hope all of cannareks followers remember 'it is not good to trade european currencies before asian session' - i did it and that was mistake. never mind.
take a look at the screen. as you can see there is great wedge formation, one of my favorite because it usually gives a lot of money. below find exact trades levels which should be taken according do cannareks method (GMT+2 time):

1. in general we are waiting for shorts only
2. first sell signal at 18:00 on 2011.11.08 -> sell @ 1.6090 sl 1.6120
3. at 20:00 the same day it should be closed at be
4. next sell signal at 9:00 on 2011.11.09 -> sell @ 1.6070 sl 1.6135
5. this trade should be closed with a loss at 10:30 -30
6. next sell signal at 10:30 -> sell 1.6092 sl 1.6135

at this moment cannarek closed half of his position (at 1.6) and is waiting, an watching. as always:)

an explanation about current possitions on usdjpy and eurcad - both were taken wrong, not according to the cannarek method. at this moment these are hedged and i am waiting for clear signal of the strategy to recover them. sorry for that. as i always say - i would not be able to trade without cannarek's help:) he is always very calm and shows me the correct path again and again. i hope one day i will be able to be patient enough.

it looks as we are in the crucial moment on eurusd. the longest move was down (inside the diamond formation) which usually means the formation is going to be broken upside. but as always it is better to wait.

here is what i see on the chart. the best scenario is down to at least 121.5, then kind of 'last will' in 118-121 area - and strong, very strong move up. if this is the case - we could see double bottom formation on monthly chart (!). lets see... good luck everyone.

i must say this is not my time:) pound in my opinion was going to hit 1.63 at least and instead it went down - this is life and forex, what else to say. never mind. i was not quite sure about this trade because pound (and euro) had no serious correcting moves since weeks - this is why i decided to open only half of my usual position.

wow, i must say this short was really fast:) i did manage to earn some pips. you can see the line where i opened short on intraday basis. unfortuantely i didnt manage to open the trade in short/mid term. At this very moment i do not have an access to my platform - so i will not do it. but imo 3.92 is quite good level to open short in mid term with stop and reverse above upper line. good luck everyone!

i must say that japanese yen really surprises me. it looked (and still does) very strong but personally i was expecting bank of japan reaction. i took long position when the price came back from 86 area after strong move from 83 - i thought there was bank money. though the price action was not good i still held the position, i was wrong - bank of japan is probably still only watching. i decided to switch to short again and i regained half of my losses:) below details:

many of my followers and students from itrademyself.com are asking me about diamonds formations. they are really quite hard to find when you begin your journey with AT investing - but usually if you find them correctly they should give you back quite nice profits.
below you can find great example of diamond forming on usdcad (4h chart) - be patient and enjoy the market. be aware of other lines.

ps. if we are lucky we can also come with diamonds on eurusd and eurgbp - but it is much too soon to say so now. watch these charts and try to find the formations. if we have diamonds there - i will post them here too as well. good luck

i have just come back home:) as always: it is nice to be back. i am full-loaded, fresh and happy. during my break i had 2 positions which 1 is already closed and second is still open. at this very moment i am a little bit dead (last over 14 hours spend on journey: airports, airports and airports...) tomorrow is sunday - probably i will not be working bur starting from monday i will update blog and continue also intraday trading.

i have managed to recover all losses and decided to take next 2 week of break:) for end of this summer.
